Integrity Physical Therapy and Wellness was founded in 2018 by Jennifer Handlos, a physical therapist driven to provide the high level of care to all those in the community. The name Integrity Physical Therapy and Wellness came when a group of close friends asked Jennifer what she wanted in her new clinic. Her response was, “I want to practice in a place where honesty is valued, where we put forth our best effort, where there is compassion and where we work towards same purpose of making people better than when they came in our doors.”
One of Jennifer’s friend’s replied, “Sounds like you are talking about having integrity.” From there a name and philosophy was born.

Jennifer earned her BA in 1994 from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. In 1996, Jennifer received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa. From there she began practicing at the Rehabilitation Hospital in Reno, Nevada. When she returned her native state of Iowa, she worked at the Guthrie County Hospital before joining the team at Family and Specialty Medical Center in 2003. Besides treating a wide variety of orthopedic conditions, Jennifer has advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation and TMJ dysfunction.
Brian received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science/Wellness from Wayne State College. He furthered his education at Linn State Technical College, where he received his Applied Associates degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. In 2001, he returned to his home town of Carroll and began work at Family & Specialty Medical Center. Since that time, Jennifer Handlos, PT and Brian have worked together. He joined Integrity Physical Therapy and Wellness on the inception. He is a member of American Physical Therapy Association and Iowa Physical Therapy Association. Brian is a certified Health/Fitness Instructor with American College of Sports Medicine and certified instructor of BackSafe & SittingSafe Certified Instructor.
Meriah is originally from Charter Oak, Iowa, graduating from Charter Oak Ute High School in 2011. She received her Associates of Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2014 at Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City. That same year she passed her boards to become a licensed PTA. She briefly worked in Denison before moving to Carroll and accepting a full time job at Family and Specialty Medical Center. She has had the pleasure of working as well as growing her skill set with the help of both Jennifer and Brian since 2014. She enjoys working with people of all ages with a special interest in the geriatric community. Her primary interest is in manual therapy and neurologic reeducation.
